How to create a booking website for your beauty business

Your booking link is the single thing you share in every bio, every DM and every business card. Here is how to build one that fills your diary instead of just looking pretty.

Most independent beauty professionals start out taking bookings through Instagram DMs and WhatsApp. It works until it does not: messages get buried, two clients claim the same slot, and you spend your evenings confirming appointments instead of resting. A booking website fixes that by giving clients one place to see your services, pick a time and pay a deposit.

1. Claim your booking handle

Your handle becomes your web address, so keep it short and match the name clients already know you by. If you trade as Luxe by Amara, use luxe-by-amara rather than a nickname nobody searches for. Check the handle is free before you print it on anything.

2. Write your service list properly

Your service list does more selling than any other part of the page. Each service needs a clear name, a realistic duration, the price and one sentence about what is included.

  • Name it the way clients search: knotless braids, gel infills, classic lash set.
  • Set the duration you actually take, including cleanup, so your day does not slide.
  • Use tiers or add-ons for length, colour or removal instead of a single vague price.
  • Say what is included so nobody arrives expecting a treatment you did not quote for.

3. Set availability you can live with

Open only the hours you genuinely want to work, then add buffers between appointments. A fifteen minute buffer is enough to reset your station, answer a message and start the next client calm rather than late.

4. Turn on deposits

Deposits are the single biggest lever against no-shows. A booking that costs nothing to make costs nothing to break. Charging even a small percentage up front filters out clients who were never going to turn up.

Add six to twelve of your best photos, your policies and a handful of reviews. New clients scan for evidence that you are real, consistent and safe to book. A gallery plus a cancellation policy answers most of that in seconds.

6. Share it everywhere, then stop taking DM bookings

  1. Put the link in your Instagram and TikTok bio.
  2. Add it to your online listing profiles as the appointment link.
  3. Reply to booking DMs with the link and a friendly one liner.
  4. Add it to your email signature and any printed cards.
The fastest way to fill a booking site is to stop offering an alternative. One link, every time.
